About this tour
One of Ushuaia’s most iconic hikes, perfect for those who want to discover the landscapes of Tierra del Fuego on foot and in close contact with nature.
We will pick you up at your accommodation and, after approximately a 30-minute transfer, arrive at the trailhead.
The hike is almost 5 km each way and crosses two completely different valleys: Tierra Mayor Valley and Esmeralda River Valley.
During approximately two hours of trekking, we will walk through Fuegian forests, peatlands and beaver habitatsbefore reaching the spectacular Laguna Esmeralda, surrounded by mountains.
Once at the lagoon, there will be time to enjoy the scenery, take photographs and have a picnic before beginning the return along the same trail.
