About this tour
Discover the heart of Tierra del Fuego by traveling along National Route 3 towards the majestic Escondido and Fagnano Lakes, on a journey that combines mountains, forests, valleys, peat bogs, and some of the most impressive landscapes on the island.
As we leave Ushuaia behind, the scenery gradually changes and we enter the Fuegian Andes and the sub-Antarctic forest, crossing mountain valleys until we reach Garibaldi Pass, the highest point on National Route 3 and the place where the road crosses the Andes mountain range. From its viewpoint, we will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of both Escondido and Fagnano Lakes.
The journey continues to Escondido Lake, located in a deep valley surrounded by forests and mountains, and then to Fagnano Lake, one of the great lakes of Tierra del Fuego, shared between Argentina and Chile.
On the way back, we may stop at one of the local winter centers to optionally enjoy a traditional Fuegian lamb cooked on a spit (cordero a la estaca).

🐺 Visit to a Husky kennel, an especially interesting experience during the winter season and subject to availability.
