About this tour
This excursion takes us east of Ushuaia to discover some of the most spectacular and wild landscapes of Tierra del Fuego.
The journey begins by road, crossing Fuegian forests and scenic landscapes along National Route 3 and Provincial Route J, until we reach Harberton Ranch, one of the most historically significant settlements in Tierra del Fuego.
At the ranch, we visit the Marine Mammal Museum and explore the surroundings of this historic property, learning about part of the region's history and heritage.
We then board a zodiac-style boat and navigate the Beagle Channel towards Martillo Island, where we can observe penguins from the water in their natural environment.
The navigation continues to Gable Island, a largely untouched and beautifully wild area where we enjoy lunch and drinks surrounded by nature.
After lunch, one of the highlights of the experience begins: an approximately two-hour hike across the island. The trail takes us through forests, coastal areas and ancient paths, while discovering traces and remains connected to the Yámana people and the region's early inhabitants and settlers.
An ideal experience for travelers who enjoy walking, exploring and discovering a more remote and authentic side of Tierra del Fuego, away from the traditional sightseeing routes.

This is an active excursion that includes approximately 2 hours of hiking over natural and varied terrain. We recommend bringing comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities, hiking shoes and waterproof outerwear, as weather conditions in Tierra del Fuego can change quickly.
