What to Eat in Ushuaia: A Taste of the End of the World

Local cuisine features a selection of products that reflect the character of the region and are well worth trying during your stay.
Three flavors you shouldn't miss:
Fuegian King Crab
King crab is one of Ushuaia's signature specialties. If you have the chance to try it, we recommend enjoying it simply, without heavy sauces, so you can really appreciate its natural flavor.
Patagonian Toothfish
Another outstanding local specialty is Patagonian toothfish. One of our recommendations is to try it grilled, allowing the quality of the fish to speak for itself.
Fuegian Lamb
Patagonian lamb is another essential part of Fuegian cuisine. The traditional preparation is slow-roasted over an open fire or on a spit.
And here is one of our local tips: if you have the opportunity, try it at one of the mountain winter centers outside the city. It is an experience that combines traditional food with mountain landscapes and the unique atmosphere of Tierra del Fuego.
